Jonathan Rosen, founder of Etsa Patrimoine
In the last episode of the podcast The Cheat Code, we had the pleasure of welcoming Jonathan Rosen, founder of the firm Etsa Patrimoine. An unfiltered conversation, where transparency and expertise take precedence over illusions and speeches that are too good to be true.
👉 What should you expect from a wealth manager?
Jonathan Rosen says it bluntly: being a wealth manager is more than just knowing how to line up numbers and multiply Excel tables. It is above all a ethical commitment and an ability to adapt to the real needs of customers, without ever giving in to convenience or to dubious practices.
In a market where “experts” out of the blue are multiplying, with expeditious training courses and promises of incredible gains, Jonathan reminds us of an essential truth: your wealth deserves better than shortcuts.
The excesses of the profession: “experts” in express training and hidden costs
The profession of wealth manager is attracting more and more new profiles, but not all are playing in the same field.
💼 Some launch after lightning-fast trainings, sometimes in a few days, and position themselves as experts.
💰 These profiles do not hesitate to Multiply the fees to increase their own income, often at the expense of their customers, who see their savings eaten away without understanding why.
Jonathan Rosen takes the time to detail these practices, the risks they represent for customers, and why they discredit an entire sector. The promise of quick wins often hides a very different reality: that of a game where only the “advisor” wins.
Put the church back in the middle of the village: investing is risking
Another central point in our exchange is the relationship with risk. Too often, wealth managers sell investments as “guaranteed” products, with attractive profitability and without any apparent risk. Jonathan, on the other hand, prefers to play the truth card:
🔍 No investment is without risk. Performance is always correlated with some form of uncertainty, and it's important for customers to be fully aware of this before engaging.
The Rosen method: transparency and alignment with the client's ambitions
What sets it apart Etsa Patrimoine, it is this desire to put people back at the heart of the wealth strategy. Jonathan insists on two fundamental values:
1 ️ Effectiveness : Propose adapted, realistic solutions based on real expertise.
2 ️ Transparency : No decision or charge should be hidden or unclear to the customer. Trust comes from clear and honest communication.
