Be 1st on Google Maps: Local SEO
I am not talking here about being the first website on Google and optimizing your SEO; here, I am talking about optimizing your local SEO, that is to say your Google My Business sheet, referenced on Google Maps.
Google My Business offers a powerful solution for legal professionals, especially for those in the regions who face with less competition compared to notaries located in big cities such as Paris.
But even in Paris, you have your card to play. Look below, my search was “Paris notary” and “Notary in my city”. A relatively logical request when looking for a notary nearby. We notice three things:
- The notaries had the intelligence to put their specialty in their name to be identified first.
- In the city, the competition is less strong because we notice that the 3rd result is a notary office that outperforms with numerous positive returns.
- It is always possible to be referenced on Paris!
Time for practice
To get started, do a search for the most searched words on Google Trends
You can thus compare two queries to position yourself on the most searched keywords and relevant to your business. Here, Paris notary is much more relevant than Notary in my city.
Once the target queries are defined, you need to integrate them into your Google My Business listing.
So go from the name of your office to Office X - notarial in (target query).
Then, maximize all the optimization opportunities available to you and provide as much information as possible. Special attention should be given to these two elements:
- The category of your activity (use the best queries as before)
- The services offered (same, use Google Trend or SEM Rush to integrate powerful keywords)
Go fishing for opinions!
To promote your business, it is essential to invite your patrons, acquaintances and partners to leave reviews on your Google listing, and be sure to respond to these reviews.
At the end of each service, encourage your satisfied customers to award 5 stars for your business on your Google listing. If you want to guarantee their satisfaction before seeking feedback, you can create a satisfaction form using tools like Typeform or Tally. By asking them to rate their experience with a 10/10 on the questionnaire, you can then send them a link to leave a review on your Google page. If their rating is less than 10/10, contact them to discuss their experience and resolve any issues.
To ensure success, send a link directly to add a review like this:
