Controversial publications and court battles

In December 2013, Octave published an essay entitled The National Front of Cities and the National Front of the Fields, exploring the strategies of National Front. This book, controversial for having revealed the homosexuality of border officials Steeve Briois and Bruno Bilde, is first prohibited by the Paris High Court. On 11 July 2018, the Court of Cassation considered that the invasion of privacy may be considered secondary to the need to inform the public about Steeve Briois' homosexuality, which, in her opinion, was in the “general interest”. Octave therefore wins his trial, which will inspire him in the rest of his career.
