If you are a lawyer, accountant, notary or wealth management consultant (CGP), it is very likely that your website does not convert as well as you want. Indeed, 90% of websites in these professions fail to turn visitors into customers.
But why? It's not about design, at least not primarily. Sure, a beautiful site can capture attention, but design only plays a secondary role in a visitor's decision to make an appointment with you.
Clarity is the most crucial element on a website. In just a few seconds, a visitor should be able to understand who you are, what you offer, and why they should trust you. If it's not immediately obvious, you risk losing that potential customer, who will likely leave your site for a clearer alternative.
And that's where things get complicated. Creating a clear site is difficult, because that requires you to focus not on yourself, but on each other — on your customers.
One of the most common pitfalls in site design for regulated professions is to talk only about yourself: your background, your qualifications, your experience. While these elements are important, they are not the ones that convince your visitors to contact you. What they are looking for is a solution to their problems. They want to know what you can do for them.
So to put it plainly: Stop talking only about yourself and start talking to your customers. Put yourself in their shoes and express how you meet their specific needs.
To help you clarify your website and make it more effective, I invite you to our next Webinar, which will take place on October 7, entitled: “Clarifying a website”. It will be the perfect opportunity to understand the best practices to apply and the mistakes to avoid.
Here's what we'll be talking about during this webinar:
